Success #1 · National Accreditation

Challenge:

Obtain a 3-year certificate of national accreditation through Council on Accreditation, for a clinical mental health and social services agency with 22 clinical offices throughout the state.

 

 

Action:

Worked as a project manager and collaborated  with the program managers and the leadership team.

 

  • Implemented over 300 standards in the areas of financial management, human resources, governance, counseling services, training and supervision, client rights, ethical practice, administrative and service environment, and risk prevention.
  • Oversaw the development of 45+ policies and procedures.
  • Developed five clinical/administrative manuals
  • Lead training efforts for the training of over 150 staff members on the new standards and procedures.

Result:

  • The organization was able to collect valuable business intelligence data in the clinical, administrative, operational and financial areas.
  • The organization held quarterly leadership meetings to review data, which allowed program managers and leaders to offer valuable feedback toward the development of the organization, and to maintain excellence.

  • Collect data for all administrative and clinical programs for their entire company, which spans within 22 offices throughout the state.
  • Use data for business intelligence purposes - to increase company efficiency and improve services.
  • Meet all standards for national accreditation.

 

 

Action:

  • Custom-developed a performance and quality improvement (PQI) program for the organization.
  • Wrote a PQI program manual.
  • Implemented data collection processes and procedures for all 22 offices.
  • Lead annual training sessions for staff.
  • Managed staff who were involved in the PQI program.

Result:

  • The organization was able to collect valuable business intelligence data in the clinical, administrative, operational and financial areas.

Success #3 · Change Management & Training

Challenge:

  • Identify an appropriate medical billing program that will enable the organization to monitor all insurance claims and payments.
  • Convert client and company data, and train staff on the new program.

 

 

Action:

  • Functioned as a liaison between the organization and the implementation specialist of the medical billing company.
  • Researched medical billing programs, set up demos, and found a suitable program.
  • Oversaw the data conversion process.
  • Wrote training manuals for staff to learn to use the new billing program.
  • Assisted staff in conducting staff training sessions.
  • Run monthly financial reports from the billing program.

Result:

Successful implementation of a medical billing program, which tracked all the organization's insurance claims to ensure that no claims or payments were lost. Organization is now able to run reports that give valuable financial information regarding claims, payments, which allows for strategic planning for the organization.
